Inclusive EducationLearning

At St Joseph’s School, we are committed to Inclusive Education, where we work collaboratively to identify and implement necessary educational adjustments for students to ensure equal access to learning opportunities.

Our dedicated team, including teachers and support staff, collaborates closely with students, their families, and external professionals to create personalised plans that address the unique needs of students with disabilities. These adjustments are carefully designed to enable students to fully engage with the curriculum, achieve desired outcomes, and actively participate in all aspects of school life alongside their peers.

We believe that fostering an inclusive environment not only supports academic success but also promotes a sense of belonging, acceptance, and shared experiences among all students at St Joseph’s School.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our Inclusive Learning Leader Tara Clark, or phone the school on (08) 8683 2400.

Learning AssistanceProgram (LAP)

The Learning Assistance Program is a partnership between the student, volunteer and teacher that aims to support the individual needs of our students academically, emotionally and socially.

St Joseph’s school has a proud history of engaging our school community. One of the many ways we achieve this is through our schools Learning Assistance Mentoring Program.

The commitment of LAP mentoring is one lesson per week, where you would work with a student in a one on one setting. This occurs at a regular time each week for as many weeks or terms you can commit to.

If this sounds like something you or someone you know would be interested in, or you would like more information, please see Volunteering or alternatively you may contact our LAP Co-ordinator Annie Varney.
