School Advisory Boards are an important expression of the educational partnership that exists between Catholic schools, families, parishes and the wider community.

Meetings &Responsibilities
Meetings are scheduled on a Tuesday, once a term commencing at 6:30pm. The approximate duration of each meeting is two hours.
School Advisory Board members must meet high standards of community and individual behaviour, and appreciate, value and support the educational mission and ethos of St Joseph’s School.
Membership of the School Advisory Board involves commitments in terms of time, energy and enthusiasm. Potential members should demonstrate enthusiasm for, and a willingness to promote, the mission of Catholic schools, bring their gifts and skills to the Board, and have a desire to serve our school community.
School Advisory Board members must maintain strict confidentiality and comply with the Code of Conduct for the School Advisory Board. Please see the School Advisory Board Manual.
We welcome nominations from our parent community, as well as community members with the skills and capacity to contribute to our school. Elections are held at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in March.
The School Advisory Board provides the occasion for the community to consider the needs and wellbeing of the school through discernment, mutual respect and spirit of cooperation to achieve the common good.
